Florala (2-0, 0-0 1A Region 2) will take the field for a third consecutive week at home when Georgiana (1-1, 0-0) stops in for the first region game on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m.

This will be the 44th matchup between the two teams dating back to their inaugural meeting on the gridiron in 1930. The Panthers hold an all-time 26-17 series lead over the Wildcats. The school announced on Monday the game was moved from Friday due to an official shortage.

Last week, Florala hosted 4A opponent Daleville and earned a 30-14 win. Georgiana held its first home game and won by an identical 30-14 score over Ariton.

The Panthers pitched a 44-0 shutout over the Wildcats in 2023.
