The Andalusia Adult Activity Center is seeking participants who would like to attend two showings at the Southern Dinner Broadway Theater in Enterprise this fall and winter.

The first performance is “Bunkhouse Blues” on Thursday, Oct. 10. The price per person to attend is $83.00 and includes transportation, the show, and a three-course dinner, which includes tax and tip.

The first course is a spinach salad with hot bacon dressing and warm bread. The second course features a selection of fried chicken, baked macaroni and cheese, green beans, and country corn pudding. The third course is a skillet apple pie à la mode.

“Join us for the ‘Bunkhouse Blues’ as mayhem, moonshine, and music fill the air once again in the Kentucky Mountains during the prohibition era. Although a continuation of ‘Hawkins Pass,’ this story is a ‘stand-alone’ tale. It’s the following autumn, and the townsfolk are in for a big surprise as they find themselves having to take on a U.S. Marshall and the mob itself! Come watch the hilarious antics play out, listen to great singing and music, and taste the finger lickin’ vittles, including the famous made-from-scratch skillet apple pie,” a Southern Dinner Broadway Theater statement read.

The deadline to sign up and pay for the “Bunkhouse Blues” performance is Friday, Sept. 13.

The second performance is “Christmas at Club Creole” on Thursday, Dec. 19. The price per person to attend is $83.00 and includes transportation, the show, and a three-course dinner, which includes tax and tip.

The first course is a garden salad served with garlic French bread. The second course will be Cajun smoked turkey breast, cranberry chutney, dressing, broccoli casserole, and green beans with new potatoes. The third course features beignets with raspberry dipping sauce.

“Christmas at Club Creole is set in the fictitious but magical ‘Club Creole’ nightclub in the French Quarter of New Orleans. This variety show will provide a window to a bygone era in ‘The Big Easy’ when glamorous supper clubs provided top-notch entertainment, excellent food, and spontaneous thrills. As you step into the ‘Creole,’ it will cast its magic spell and carry you to a Christmas in the ‘Quarter,’ where you’ll live out a high-life evening in a club that is at the pinnacle of show business success,” the statement continued.

The deadline to sign up and pay for the “Christmas at Club Creole” performance is Thursday, Nov. 14. No refunds will be issued for either performance unless the center cancels due to lack of participation.

Participants who attend either or both performances will leave from the Adult Activity Center at 5 p.m. on both days. Each show begins at 6:30 p.m.

“We are excited about these two performances for our seniors and adults who are 21 and older in the local community. We look forward to having a good time and welcome anyone to join us,” Andalusia Adult Activity Center Program Coordinator Sonja Godwin said.
