The Distinguished Young Women of Covington County will hold its 2025 program on Saturday, July 20, at the LBW Dixon Center for the Performing Arts. (PHOTOS PROVIDED)

Ada Blackstock attends Opp High School. Her talent will be performing “When He Sees Me” from the Broadway Musical Waitress.
Haylee Booth attends Opp High School. Her talent will be performing a colorguard routine to “Firework” by Katy Perry.
Elizabeth Carroll attends Red Level School. Her talent will be singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Judy Garland.
Karis Dubose attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be performing Skydance by Tyler Acari on clarinet.
Lily Jo Elmore attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be dancing to “If My Friends Could See Me Now” from the Broadway musical Sweet Charity.
Virginia Jeter attends Sparta Academy. Her talent will be performing a monologue from the 1980s movie “The Outsiders.”
Kayden Lord attends Red Level School. Her talent will be performing “I Can Only Imagine” by MercyMe in American Sign Language.
Amber Nguyen attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be playing “Mia and Sebastian’s Theme Song” from La La Land by Justin Hurwitz on piano.
Sarah Katherine Reese attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be performing “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen on piano.
Alyson Richburg attends Opp High School. Her talent will be twirling the baton to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now.”
Graycie Sanson attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be performing “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King on alto saxophone.
Lexi Stallworth attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be performing a mixture of dance and colorguard to B-52’s song “Love Shack.”
Maecy Starnes attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be speed painting to “Burning Love” by Elvis Presley.
Kinsley Stovall attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be performing a violin rendition of “It Is Well.”
Ella Ward attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be performing Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece “Concerto No. 1” on piano.
K'lyasia Woods attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be performing “The Cafe” by Larry Clark on flute.
Shambresha Woods attends Andalusia High School. Her talent will be performing a colorguard routine to “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner.
The Covington County Distinguished Young Women Program will be held on Saturday, July 20, at LBW Community College’s Dixon Center for the Performing Arts with two shows at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Unstoppable.” The participants will be split into two groups. Group A will include participants 1-9 and Group B will include participants 11-18. Both shows will include an opening number and the Little Sisters.
Group A will perform Fitness and Self Expression and Group B will perform Talent at 2 p.m. This show will also include a performance by the Distinguished Darlings.
Group A will perform Talent and Group B will perform Fitness and Self Expression at 6 p.m. Awards and the announcement of the Distinguished Young Woman of Covington County 2025 will be announced at the conclusion of Saturday night’s show.
Group A will include Ada Blackstock, Haylee Booth, Karis Dubose, Lily Jo Elmore, Kayden Lord, Amber Nguyen, Graycie Sansom, Maecy Starnes, and Kinsley Stovall.
Group B will include Brittan Bennett, Elizabeth Carroll, Virginia Jeter, Sarah Katherine Reese, Alyson Richburg, Lexi Stallworth, Ella Ward, K’lyasia Woods, and Shambresha Woods.
Tickets will be $15 per show and may be purchased at the door. Doors will open one hour prior to each show. There will be no reserved seats.
