Wooten becomes seven-time domino tournament champion

Jerome Wooten of Kansas City, Missouri, continued to make history in Andalusia on Friday when he won his seventh World Championship Domino Tournament title.
Wooten won the 2024 Singles Tournament. He previously was singles champion in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013. He won the doubles title in 2010 and 2015.
Wooten defeated Kenneth Curtis to capture the 2024 title.
Phil Baker and Michael Hair combined domino skills to best Pat Henke and Jonathan Clenney in the doubles championship on Saturday.
Baker and Hair each took home $2,500 in prize money. The runners-up each got a check for $750.
Baker is a resident of Dozier. Hair hails from Booneville, Mississippi, and also was a doubles champion in 2007.
Pat Henke, of Hallettsville, Texas, is also a previous champion, having won the singles tournament in 2021.
The World Championship Domino Tournament, now in its 48th year, is a project of the Andalusia Rotary Club.
