A local man has been charged with enticing a child after investigators obtained a suggestive note he wrote to two juveniles temporarily in his care.
Sgt. Al McGraw said two juvenile girls had been allowed to spend the night with Tony Lamar Veasey, 73. Veasey was “like a grandfather,” the girls’ mother said.
On the third night, Veasey presented the girls with a detailed and suggestive note. At 2 a.m., they left his house and went home, taking the note with them.
The incident was reported to APD the following morning.
Veasey has been charged with enticing a child, and enticing a child for immoral purposes, Class C felonies. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
