React Theatre & Arts announces that open auditions will be held for “Tales from the Tomb” on Sunday, July 28, 3 p.m., at the Church Street Cultural Arts Centre in Andalusia (rear entrance).

“Tales from the Tomb” is a walk through historic Magnolia Cemetery in downtown Andalusia. Narrator guides will lead guests through the cemetery stopping at gravesites of local residents where actors will relate the history of those buried there.

Prospective roles include 3-5 children ages 8-18 and 20 + adults ages 18 and above. There will be speaking and non-speaking roles to include narrator guides, resident characters, and by-standers.

Auditions will include a cold reading from a prepared script provided at the audition. Selected cast members will be required to be present for minimal rehearsals, a dress rehearsal on Thursday evening, October 3 and all three performances on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6, and will also need to provide their own approved costume appropriate to the character and time period.
