Stingrays place second at Water World swim meet

Competing against more than 300 swimmers from Alabama, Georgia and Florida, the Andalusia Stingrays team placed second in the Water World swim meet in Dothan in June.
The high point winner is given to the top eight swimmers in each age division up to age 12, and swimmers older than 12 are ranked first to third.
High points winners for the Stingrays were as follows:
8 and under boys
- 4th – John Collier Wright with 28 points
- 5th – Sam Perry with 23 points
- 6th – Nate Perry with 15 points
8 and under girls
- 5th – Claire Brady with 35 points
- 8th – Rosie Diamond with 17 points
9-10 Boys
- 2nd – Harrison Vinson with 57 points
11-12 Boys
- 2nd – Payten Cottle with 45 points
- 7th – Brents Harrington with 27 points
13-14 Girls
- 2nd – Aubryn Cottle with 57 points
13-14 Boys
- 2nd – Joseph Harmond with 41 points
15-18 Girls
- 3rd – Sammy Shepard with 48 points
Other highlights included Cooper McKinney breaking 1 minute on his 100-yard freestyle at 59.70 seconds.
