Dorothy Jean Brogden of Dozier passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in the Andalusia hospital. She was 75.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 7, 3 p.m., at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Pastor Shawn Bentley will officiate. Cremation will follow. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tommy Sasser (Catherine) of Andalusia; Kenneth Slawson of Dozier; Teresa Butler (Murrey Carnley) of Dozier; Kimberly Slawson (Phillip Fuller) of Dozier; brothers, Frank Walker of Dozier; Carl Walker (Karen) of Brantley; Andy Walker (Polly) of Andalusia; Steve Williamson (Mellisa) of Dozier; sisters, Eunice Slawson (Kenny) of Andalusia; Wanda Gunter (Richard) of Gantt; grandchildren, Brandi Knight (Justin), Wyatt Bullard, Shae Slawson, Shane Bryan (Tiffany), Shawn Burks (Summer), Hope Slawson, Jasmine Jones (Chris), Trent Sasser (Jennifer), Diamond Brown (James), Veronica Sanders, Corey Slawson (Haley), Cecilia Rios, Selena Rios, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Brogden was preceded in death by daughters, Pamela Jean Sanders and Amelia Slawson. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church of Dozier.
