GALLERY: Andalusia Health Services presents annual grant awards to nonprofit organizations

Andalusia Health Ser­vices, Inc., a private founda­tion, recently donated a total of $70,000 to non-profit organizations.

The funds were awarded to 13 organizations, includ­ing: American Red Cross, Andalusia Lions Club, Bethesda House, Easter Seals Camp ASCCA, Children’s Hospital of Alabama, Covington County Child Advocacy Center, Crossover Ministry, Embrace Alabama Kids, LBW Community College, Megan Kelley Smiles Foundation, Meredith’s Miracles, Sav-A-Life of Covington County, and South Central Alabama Mental Health Center.

Andalusia Health Ser­vices is a non-profit orga­nization that presents community grants and scholarships to Covington County residents pursuing careers in the health ser­vices field. Funding for the grants and scholarships originates from investments from the sale of Andalusia Hospital in 1980.

Andalusia Health Services board members presenting the grant awards were: Phillip Jones, president; Dr. James Krudop, immediate past president; Charles Roland, vice president; Carolyn Graham, secretary/treasurer; Cathy Alexander; Wayne Bennett; Ivan Bishop; Diaon Cook; Chrissy Duffy; Joe Proctor; and Elizabeth Starr.
