The Old Three Notch Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held a ceremony to recognize its 2024 Good Citizens Award recipients at Andalusia City Hall on Wednesday, April 17.
The award, created in 1934, is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship and is presented to high school seniors from across Covington County each year. Recipients were selected by their teachers and peers.
The 2024 Good Citizens Award recipients are as follows:
- Andalusia High School – Nyla Crittenden
- Florala High School – Alyssa Anderson
- Opp High School – Hank Messer
- Pleasant Home School – Meredith Wilson
- Red Level School – Nicole Frank
- Straughn High School – Ryan Cobb
DAR Regent Carol-Ann Mullins presented each senior with a pin, a certificate, and a red, white, and blue cord to wear at graduation.
