The Pilot Club of Andalusia welcomed Melanie Hoffman and Zack Maio to its membership during its monthly meeting at the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce on Monday, Feb. 26.

Stephanie Cannon, who was unable to attend the meeting, will become a member at the next meeting in March. Cannon, Hoffman, and Maio bring the total number of new memberships to seven since Meredith Harlos became president in July 2023.

“The Pilot Club is a wonderful organization that does a lot for our community. From helping children with traumatic brain injuries and our annual Picnic on the Square to Pancake and Sausage Day and the Tour of Homes, we are grateful to have the opportunity to serve Covington County and beyond. We are glad to have Stephanie, Melanie, and Zack join our membership and know they will be assets in any roles they are assigned. We encourage anybody who is not a member to come be a part of us and ‘Do More, Care More, Be More’ in this community we are privileged to call home,” Pilot Club Membership Chair Mellisa King said.

All three members are looking forward to serving their community as the newest Pilots.

“We are thrilled to be a part of helping and serving the community we love,” Cannon and Hoffman said.

“As someone who has covered the Pilot Club for the last three years, I have witnessed firsthand how much this organization does for our community. I am humbled to become the first male member in Andalusia and will represent our mission of ‘Do More, Care More, Be More’ with the utmost respect and compassion. To my fellow Pilots: thank you for accepting me into your membership. The sky is the limit, and I have no doubt we will continue to make a difference in the lives of all those around us,” Maio said.

The Pilot Club of Andalusia meets on the fourth Monday of each month at the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 25, at 5:30 p.m.
