Ben Cooper proudly declares his candidacy for the District 1 seat on the Covington County Commission. A dedicated family man, entrepreneur, and community leader, Cooper brings a fresh perspective and passionate leadership to the commission.

Ben Cooper, a proud alumnus of Opp High School, has deep roots entrenched in Covington County. He attended LBWCC and works as the Sales and Finance Manager at JR’s Lawnmower Shop and Golf Cart Sales. Joined in matrimony to Breanna Cooper in December 2018, they cherish their roles as loving parents to their son, Elliot Cooper.

Over the years, Ben has demonstrated his commitment to community service through his involvement in various capacities. He has served on the Opp Chamber of Commerce board for six years, including a term as President, several years on the executive board and he is a founding member of the Opp Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Additionally, Ben serves as the Committee Chair for the Farmer’s Banquet and is a member of Shriners International.

With a keen interest in local governance, Ben has served as a valuable member of the Opp Zoning and Planning Board for four years, contributing his insights to community development. As a small business owner, Ben operates a modest farming operation specializing in hay, pecans, and produce. He and his wife are Amazon Hub Partners, each managing a delivery route within the county.

Expressing his core values, Ben Cooper remarks, “I believe in honesty, accountability, dependability, and hard work. My Christian beliefs make me a God-fearing man, and I am committed to representing the people of Covington County with integrity.”

His diverse background in business and his service in the community have helped him to understand the needs of Covington County; he brings a common-sense business approach and is ready to listen and spearhead initiatives that can contribute to the county’s growth and prosperity.

Ben asserts, “I stand for all the people of Covington County. Your vote matters, and I humbly ask for yours on March 5th and November 5th.”
