The Dog Pound joins Andalusia Chamber with ribbon cutting

The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for The Dog Pound on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

Among those in attendance were owners Jason Stanley and Courtney Lassiter, cutting the ribbon; their children, Jase, Avery, Kage, Kayelee, and Logan Stanley; AACC Executive Director Mellisa King, right of ribbon; AACC Director of Membership Services Maggie Holmes, left of ribbon; Grit + Grind Coffee owners Eric and Destiny Rowell; Chamber President Jennifer McClung; Chamber Past President William Alverson; Chamber board member Ginny Grimes; and City Councilman Presley Boswell.

The Dog Pound is located at 104 River Falls Street across from The B in Andalusia and serves hot dogs, French fries, cole slaw, chips, and drinks. Lassiter said future additions to the menu will include sausage dogs and specialty dogs. A soft opening for friends and family was held on Friday, Nov. 17 before the business opened to the public on Tuesday, Nov. 21.

“We are excited to bring The Dog Pound to Andalusia and are thankful to join the Andalusia Chamber. We look forward to serving the community and invite everyone out to try our hot dogs,” Stanley said.

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 until 7 p.m.
