Florala student places in national 4-H competition

Ellie Odom, a tenth-grade student at Florala High School, recently competed in the 4H National Skillathon competition at the North American Livestock Expo (NAILE) in Louisville, Kentucky on Monday, November 13.
The competition is conducted as a team effort with both team and individual scores given.
Ellie was part of a three-person Southeast Regional 4H Skillathon team for the state of Alabama.
The Alabama 4H Skillathon team placed 18th out of 22 national teams in the competition.
Ellie individually placed 37th out of 85 national contestants in a competition that covers a variety of topics related to the production and management of beef cattle, meat goats, sheep, and swine.
