Business owners can now renew their state/ county business licenses online. State/County business licenses are valid for a fiscal year beginning Oct. 1 and ending Sept. 30 of the following year. You should renew your business license between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31 each year.

Business owners can renew their business license online by visiting covingtonprobateoffice.com and clicking on “renew business license.” You will be prompted to enter your current business license number.

First-time business license purchasers must visit the probate office to obtain a business license.

Other online services offered by the probate office include tag renewals, driver’s license renewals, and registration of automobiles purchased from an Alabama dealer.
