After a two-day search, a suspect wanted for attempted murder in Covington County was captured in Samson.

On Sunday, September 10, Covington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic dispute call on Grimes Road in Rose Hill. When deputies arrived, they found the victim, Derek Moss Jr., with a gunshot wound to his elbow.

According to the Covington County Sheriff’s Office, during the investigation, the suspect was identified as Christopher Clinton Jr. and a warrant was issued for his arrest for one count of attempted murder.

Officials with the Samson Police Department reported on Tuesday, September 12, Clinton Jr. was apprehended by SPD officers in Samson.

Clinton is charged with one count of attempted murder.
