The Andalusia High School Band Boosters recognized Bennie Shellhouse during a reception held at the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce on Monday, July 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The band boosters presented Shellhouse with a plaque to honor him for 19 years as the band director at AHS. Those in attendance were able to reminisce and reflect on his tenure.

After spending the last 27 years leading two bands at Straughn High School and AHS, Shellhouse began a new chapter of his life as the principal for Goshen High School. He is pictured above with his wife, Mary Ellen Shellhouse, and their children.
