Andalusia Isshinryu Karate competes at Tennessee IIKA event

Five members of Andalusia Isshinryu Karate competed in the IIKA Middle Tennessee Open Karate Games in Watertown, Tennessee, on Saturday, June 24.
Tony Williams, Sandra Strong, and the Lebanon Dojo of Lebanon, Tennessee, hosted the tournament.
Johnathan Rudd won the youth weapons and kata grand championship and won first places in brown belt kata, weapons, and fighting. Jemari Marshall placed second in yellow belt kata and fourth in fighting. Stetson Cook placed second in yellow belt fighting and fourth in kata. Jamey Doulin placed second in men’s black belt weapons, kata, and fighting.
Doulin also competed as a member of the three-man IIKA black belt team, which won first place in black belt team fighting. Mark Rudd won three first places competing in the Masters Division for sixth degree and up, weapons, kata, and 40-year-and-up black belt fighting.
The AIK will next travel to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on July 14-15 at the Isshinryu Hall of Fame Banquet and Tournament.
