PowerSouth Energy Cooperative announced Tuesday, May 30, that Horace Horn has been promoted to Senior Vice President of External Affairs, and Taylor Williams has been promoted to Vice President of External Affairs, effective June 1, 2023.

Horn has served as PowerSouth’s Vice President of External Affairs since January 2000 and has led PowerSouth’s success in Economic Development and Legislative Affairs. Williams joined PowerSouth in 2009 and has worked in its Economic Development, Legislative Affairs and Power Operations areas.

“Horace is one of the best relationship people I have ever been around,” said Gary Smith, PowerSouth’s President and CEO. “He has guided PowerSouth through the growth of our External Affairs Division and, together with Taylor, will continue to lead our efforts in Economic Development and External Affairs. Taylor has been a great asset for PowerSouth over the past 14 years and is the future leader of our excellent External Affairs team. This move is evidence of his success.”
