With area tournaments now complete, 10 county teams remain alive as the 2022-2023 basketball season reaches the sub-regional round Monday, Feb. 13, and Tuesday, Feb. 14.

The winner and runner-up of each girls’ and boys’ area tournament play in one round of games according to pre-drawn pairings. Games will be played at the home sites of area winners.

Tickets will only be sold through GoFan at http://gofan.co. The Alabama High School Athletic Association has set admission for $8.00 per game.

One game will be held Monday, Feb. 13, while all others are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 14. All games are scheduled for 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

The sub-regional schedule for Covington County teams is as follows:

Monday, Feb. 13
3A Girls: A2-Winner Straughn vs. A1-Runner-up Cottage Hill, 6 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 14
1A Girls: A3-Winner Red Level vs. A2-Runner-up Florala, 5:30 p.m.

4A Girls: A3-Runner-up Andalusia at A4-Winner Montgomery Catholic, 5:30 p.m.

3A Boys: A4-Winner Opp vs. A3-Runner-up Providence Christian, 6 p.m.

1A Boys: A3-Runner-up Pleasant Home at A2-Winner Brantley, 6 p.m.

3A Boys: A2-Runner-up Straughn at A1-Winner Cottage Hill, 6 p.m.

1A Boys: A3-Winner Red Level vs. A2-Runner-up Florala, 7 p.m.

4A Boys: A3-Runner-up Andalusia at A4-Winner Montgomery Catholic, 7 p.m.

All sub-regional winners will advance to the South Regional at Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery.
