Mr. Dewey Farrel Hicks, 89, of Andalusia, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Hicks served in the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force, he was chosen to be the Honor Guard Air Force representative at John F. Kennedy’s funeral for the rotunda viewing.

Military honors graveside service for Mr. Hicks will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, 11 a.m., at Sanford Cemetery with Rev. Ed Russell officiating. Foreman Funeral Home will be directing.

Mr. Dewey Hicks is survived by his wife, Joyce Hicks of Andalusia; one daughter, Debbie Johnson of Sanford; one son, Joey (Sue Anne) Hicks of Crystal River Florida; four grandchildren: Samuel Hicks, Benjamin Maddox, Danielle Edwards, and Bethany Ramsey; five great-grandchildren: Brayden Butts, William Butts, Nolan Edwards, Henry Edwards, and Elijah Edwards; and one sister; Katie (Herbert) Hughes of Dothan.
