Dr. Jeanine Cannon Bozeman was born on July 29, 1929, to Ruby Rowell and Henry Oliver Cannon in Dozier, Alabama.
She grew up spending lots of time with her parents at Cannon Mercantile in downtown Dozier. After graduating from Dozier High School, she went on to the University of Montevallo to earn her degree in English and History.
Jeanine married Thomas Welby Bozeman of Searight, Alabama, on August 28, 1960. They served churches in Alabama and Louisiana for many years. They relocated to New Orleans where she completed her MSW at Tulane University and her MRE at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She later earned her Ed.D. at NOBTS, and later changed to a Ph.D. Dr. Bozeman joined the faculty of NOBTS in 1986, where she taught social work and Christian education classes for 35 years and impacted the lives of many students.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Welby. She is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Dozier in Monday, Oct. 24, 1 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. and interment will be at Dozier Cemetery.
