Mr. Grover “Duke” Gunter, age 75, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at his residence.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2 p.m., at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with Brother Mack Smith officiating. Interment followed services at Goodhope Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday after 1 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home. Mr. Gunter was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Gunter; daughter, Katie Gunter; parents, Sara and William Gunter; and sister, Ann Owens.

Mr. Grover Gunter is survived by his sons: Ricky (Melissa) Clark of Edgerton, Ohio, Josh (Bumper) Gunter of Andalusia, Glen (Holly) Gunter of Andalusia; daughter, Sara Lynn (Bill) Marcum of Lowndesboro, Alabama; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Foy (Barbara) Gunter of Dozier; a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Chad Williams, Allyn Riley, Cameron Gunter, Russell Gunter, Joey Gunter, and Mack Byrd. Special thanks to Maggie Hartley and Comfort Care Hospice.
