CCB Community Bank celebrates 75 years! In 1947 CCB began as “The Bank of Friendly Service” and continues that tradition today.
Originally named Covington County Bank, the bank opened its doors July 1, 1947, on the Court Square in Andalusia, in the old Andalusia National Bank building, with an operating capital of $170,000. Today CCB’s assets top $608 million.
As the bank has grown over the past 75 years, our goal has always been to be progressive and prosperous so we could re-invest in our communities, according to CCB representatives.
“We take pride in fulfilling that goal and giving back to the communities we serve,” said Michael Andrews, chief executive officer of the bank. “We opened our fifth location last week in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. We look forward to meeting new customers and businesses and getting involved in the community. What a great way to mark our 75th Anniversary.”
The bank will host several events throughout the month of July in each of their locations.
“We hope our customers will join us in the celebration,” said CCB President Wem Mellown. “We will kick off our celebration on July 1st in Andalusia with a Ribbon Cutting at 10:30 marking the 75th Anniversary, followed by a reception,” Mellown said. Follow us on social media for more announcements about events and giveaways throughout the month of July.
