Andalusia Police Chief Paul Hudson said a juvenile has been charged with assault in connection with fights that occurred in Johnson Park Thursday night.

The APD has been investigating the fights since they were reported that night, he said. One juvenile has been charged with third-degree assault and is in custody in a regional juvenile facility.

The investigation continues, and others may be charged, Hudson said.

“These kinds of situations will not be tolerated by the City of Andalusia, nor the APD,” Chief Hudson said.
