The inaugural “Saints on Stage” community variety show will be held Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12 at 7 p.m. in the Dixon Center for Performing Arts at LBWCC.
“I am so excited to be hosting the inaugural ‘Saints on Stage’ variety show this weekend. We will combine the talent of our community members with those of our LBW students for a fun, funny, and entertaining weekend here on the Andalusia campus. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to student activities and community engagement at LBWCC. We have four campuses across our region to support, and we are excited about the future of the Saints. Our LBW students fill a valuable niche in our community, and giving them a special and memorable college experience is so important,” LBWCC Director of Student and Community Engagement Katie King said.
Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. They are available for purchase at the LBW Student Center, Golden Rule BBQ, the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce, and Utopia Salon and Spa.
The cast includes adult community members as well as LBW students, faculty, and staff. “We will have singers, dancers, bands, comedy skits, and lots of fun. We have incredible talent in our area and can’t wait to showcase it. Lynsey Williams and I will be hosting this year, and we plan to make this an annual event,” she said.
The “Saints on Stage” performers are Roger and Cathy Powell, Fran Davidson Dubose, Blake Turman, Aubrey McKee, Tabitha Sasser, The Dub Dancers, The Three Notch Ramblers, The Boys, Maggie Hammonds, Abbie Wood, Tommy Townsend, John Carpenter, Beth Dean, Lori Godwin, Gabrielle Baldwin, Heather German, and a group of cloggers.
“I love the stage and I love getting the chance to provide this creative outlet for all the performers in our community. Plus, we’re raising funds for college students. What could be better? We are grateful to our sponsors who have supported the event. Those are ADG, Brooklyn Limestone, TW Ortho, Wright Brothers, Edward Jones of Opp, The Beas Knees Yoga Studio, and CCB Bank.”

“We’ll have music, comedy, dance, and so much more. I know you won’t want to miss out on this one-of-a-kind event,” King said.
