Kimberly Sasser, a local mother battling stage four breast cancer, seeks the public’s help at a fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 19 at the Kiwanis Community Center in Andalusia.
“My first diagnosis was in August 2018, and I recently found out I have stage four metastasized breast cancer. I’m 33 years old and a stay-at-home mom, I love Jesus and am thankful for all of you,” she said.
Funds raised at the event will help cover medical expenses and the family’s financial needs during their time of need. Monetary donations may be given directly to Southern Independent Bank, where an account is set up in her name. A GoFundMe page has been set up at https://gofund.me/27dc798f.
“Our fundraiser for Kimberly Sasser will start at 11 a.m. this weekend. We will have a car show, food, photo booth, and live auction from 5 to 9 p.m. Items include sports memorabilia from Bo Jackson, Bobby Bowden, and Eli Manning. We will also have breakfast with Brenda Gantt, a two-night stay on Gantt Lake, a weekend at the beach, a rifle, and so much more. Bands start performing at 5 p.m.,” Coordinator MaryAlyce Outlaw said.
For more information call Outlaw at 334-488-9400 or Tari McClung at 334-488-5653.
“We would like to thank everyone for all their love and support. Every person offering their time and giving of donations is a blessing beyond words,” Outlaw added.
