Caleb Meredith made his girlfriend Kaitlyn Townsend think they were just going to see the sights and sounds of Candyland and Springdale on Ice on Friday, Dec. 17.

Townsend received a much larger holiday treat when Meredith proposed marriage to her inside the large ornament at Springdale.

He is the son of Rodney and Ashley Meredith of Andalusia. She is the daughter of Thomas and Stephanie Townsend, also of Andalusia.

The high school sweethearts have been together since May 26, 2018.
