PowerSouth promotes Diamond to vice president position

PowerSouth Energy Cooperative announced Friday, Dec. 3, that Matt Diamond will be promoted to Vice President-Member Services & Communications, effective Jan. 1, 2022.
Diamond’s responsibilities will commence upon the retirement of Leigh Grantham, PowerSouth’s current Vice President-Member Services and Communications, on Feb. 2, 2022.
Diamond currently serves as PowerSouth’s Manager of Bulk Power, Fuels, & Energy Resources. He has also served as Environmental Engineer, and Assistant to the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.
In his new role, Diamond will assume responsibility for PowerSouth’s member services, rates, marketing, communications, and solar generation efforts.
Diamond is a native of Jay, Florida, and resides in Andalusia, Alabama. He earned bachelor’s and master’s Degrees in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida. He and his wife, Stacy, have four children, Daisy, Shepherd, Rosie, and Smith.

I am confident Matt will be equally successful in leading our Member Services and Communications Division into the future,” said Gary Smith, PowerSouth’s President & CEO, in announcing Diamond’s promotion.
