The holiday season has arrived and the City of Andalusia is excited after starting off on a high note Thursday night.
“We had an amazing Christmas Parade this year. It really was ‘merry and bright’ with over 130 plus entries. Thank you to all who participated and made it such a big success,” said Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Laura Wells.
Prior to the parade, the Christmas tree on the square was lit with several in attendance.
This year’s float winner is Shaw Industries. The first runner-up is Piggly Wiggly of Andalusia and second place is CCB Community Bank.
The 2021 Candyland Cheermiester winner was Outlaw Realty and they will receive a hand-painted ornament by Tara Dalton.
“Thank you to all who participated in our first-ever Cheermiester contest. Our judges had such a difficult time choosing a winner. Congratulations, Outlaw Realty,” she added.
