Dwayne joined the military and left his small town in Michigan to find the love of his life in Alabama. Together for 64 years, Dwayne and Mary built a life of love, family and deep faith that guided them through each of those years. Dwayne absolutely loved to tell a great story and even added his own flavor when needed to keep it interesting. He was patriotic and believed in America which made him a very successful Army recruiter. Dwayne loved Alabama football and could be seen decked out from head to toe stylishly supporting his team. His biggest joy in life was his family. He was so very proud to be a husband, dad and especially loved being called Papa. His legacy will last through the memories, the stories and a part of him that lives on in each of his girls and their families.
