Mrs. Martha Elizabeth James Givhan, 78, of Andalusia, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, at her residence.

Funeral services for Givhan will be Thursday, Nov. 4, 2 p.m., at The First Baptist Church of Andalusia with Brother Kevin Wilburn officiating and interment following at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Anderson Givhan II (Candy) of Andalusia; her daughter, Endsley Givhan Bolen of Andalusia; her grandchildren, John Bruce Bolen, James Calvin Watkins, Shelby Lynn Watkins; her brother and sister-in-law, Francis Marvin “Sonny” James III (Linda) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Brandon Givhan.

Givhan was the loved and respected organist at The First Baptist Church of Andalusia for over 30 years and taught piano at her home for over 20 years. She was well known for her spring piano recitals.
