Delbert Vernon Blocker, 67, left this earth peacefully in the early hours of September 6, 2021.

Delbert married his high school sweetheart, Donna Sharpe Blocker. They spent 49 years wonderful together raising two children, Daniel (Betty) Blocker and Dana (John) Merren.

They watched their two granddaughters, Erica Shea Blocker and Courtney (Kevin) Williams grow into strong, independent women.

He leaves behind a special niece and nephews, Heather Lewis, Jason Turner, and Tyler Lewis. He also leaves behind a brother, Nathan Blocker, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents Edward and Vernell Blocker, brother Kent Blocker, and his sister, Carolyn Turner.

A celebration of Delbert’s life will be held at Prattville Memorial Gardens Chapel Saturday, September 11, 2021, with visitation for friends and family from 10 a.m. to noon and a memorial service at noon.
