Mrs. Carolyn Sturgis Johns, age 78, of the Harmony Community passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021, at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Canant officiated. Interment followed in Stone Lake Gardens with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors, son, Buddy Johns and daughter, Elishia Averill (Tommy) Averill; sister, Patsy Sturgis Johns all of Andalusia; grandchildren, Brandon Averill (Hannah), Kelly Averill-Lynn (Eric), Zachary Averill (Amber), Megan Johns-Sasser (Blake), Laura Ashley Johns-Henderson (Blake); step-grandchildren, Tanisha Nolen Hughes and Chase Nolen; great-grandchildren, Barrett Averill, Brett Averill, Blakely Sasser, Rowan Averill,  and Zaira Averill.

She was preceded in death by her father, Doward Delmont “DD” Sturgis, mother, Lillie Mae Gibson Sturgis, husband, Walter P. Johns, Sr., and sister, Betty Sturgis Mancil.
