Social worker Ciara Burrows has been awarded the Mizell IMAGE Maker award for 2021.

Burrows is a social worker on Mizell’s Senior Behavioral Care Unit. She has been a part of the Mizell family for almost 5 years.

Several of her coworkers stated she is the best social worker they ever had the pleasure of working with.

She is a very dedicated employee who comes in early, stays late, takes calls at home, and will come in on her days off to assist with the care of our patients.

Her coworkers feel she is a wonderful patient advocate who makes her voice heard and is always doing what is best for the patient. She has a very big heart and will buy items for the patients out of her own money expecting nothing in return.

She is a very sincere person who puts the needs of others ahead of her own. She is always one of the first to suggest help for a coworker in need. She communicates well with others involved in the care of her patients regarding their care.

Throughout each nomination for Burrows, the common thread was that she goes above and beyond daily for her patients and her coworkers.

For all these reasons and more, Burrows is Mizell’s 2021 Image Maker.

The MIM (Mizell IMAGE Maker) award is one that is cherished by past and present recipients and gives us time to reflect on Mizell’s mission and values and what truly makes Mizell a place they can all be proud to be a part of. Image Maker awards go to employees who consistently demonstrate “Above and Beyond”  behaviors on a daily basis. It is a perfect way to thank those employees who continue to make such a positive difference every day, just doing what comes naturally to each of them. Please join us in saying ‘thanks to these and to many others who live our Mizell IMAGE every day.
