Cathy Reeves Edmondson, age 59, of Florala passed away Tuesday morning May 4, 2021. She was born October 31, 1961 in Florala the daughter of Willie Duff Reeves and Nettie Brogden Reeves. She was a graduate of Laurel Hill High School. She worked and owned Elan Paget Formals in Andalusia. Cathy was exceptional at everything she did whether it was sewing, floral design, interior design or crafting. She lived life to the fullest whether cheering on her girls in everything they did or coaching girls youth softball or helping her customers select the perfect wardrobe for their special events. Cathy was known for always preferring hugs over handshakes. She didn’t meet strangers, she met new best friends and made everyone feel like family. Although constantly busy as a business owner and being active involved in her community, nothing was more important than spending time with her family which she cherished more than anything in the world. Cathy will be dearly missed by her love ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by father, Willie Duff Reeves; mother, Nettie Brogden Reeves.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Sonny Edmondson, daughters, Caitlin Shipman and Kenna Sharpe and husband Nicholas, brother, Ricky Reeves, grandson, Daley Shipman. She relished being his “NaNa” and he was her greatest joy. Cathy is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones including numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Cathy Reeves Edmondson will be 11AM Saturday May 8, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home with Allen Lindsey and Dr Troy Jones officiating. Visitation will be Friday May 7, 2021 from 5-7PM. Interment will be in the Damascus Church Cemetery.
