ADPH: No wait for vaccination at today’s mobile clinic

A mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic is currently underway at the Kiwanis Building in Andalusia.
According to public health officials, the current rush of vaccinations have taken place and as of 10 a.m. there is no wait to receive a vaccination. The Kiwanis Building is located at 2085 Kiwanis Drive in Andalusia.
The vaccinations provided includes the first dose with the second dose planned to take place on April 13.
This event includes the new Phase 1c eligibility list that includes all people age 55 and older, people ages 16 and older with high-risk medical conditions, critical workers, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Vaccinations will be provided until 5 p.m. today. No appointments are needed.
Governor Kay Ivey last week announced the locations for the Alabama National Guard’s mobile vaccination clinics across 24 rural counties. As part of Governor Ivey’s activation of the ALNG to support the state’s COVID-19 response, beginning March 23, the mobile vaccination teams will rotate through the designated counties.
