Mrs. Joanne Hartin Kelley, 79, of Andalusia, passed away Monday February 22, 2021 at Andalusia Hospital.
She was born in Andalusia to Joseph Hartin and Virginia Hales Hartin and grew up in Red Level. She was a member of the Red Level High School Class of 1960 and earned the honor of valedictorian for the class. Following high school, she worked for Beesley Packing Company and afterwards worked at Alatex in the Sales Administration Office until it closed. She then went to work at Mann Rental Service and continued with the company when the name changed to Taylor Linen. She worked there from 1986 until 2020.
Graveside services for family and close friends will be at 11 AM Thursday February 25th at Fairmount Cemetery in Red Level with her brother-in-law, Joseph Kiley officiating the service and Foreman Funeral Home directing. No formal visitation is scheduled, the family will visit with friends at the cemetery. Those attending the service, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy D. Kelley of Andalusia; one brother and sister-in-law, John Wayne and Linda Hartin of Andalusia; a sister and brother-in-law, Bettie Hartin and Joseph Kiley of Trussville, AL; her niece and nephews, Charlie (Brooke) Hartin, Rebecca (Caleb) Rogers, Jacob (Tonya) Kiley; and several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dog that she dearly loved, Amy.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Hartin, Jacob Kiley, Taylor Hartin, Dale Bailey, Riley Hill Taylor, and Don Ray.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation, Megan Kelley Smiles Foundation, or Meredith’s Miracles.
