On Feb. 6, the Gant American Legion Post 157 held a benefit to assist the Red Level Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4388 building fund.

The VFW was destroyed by fire on Nov. 26, 2020. Friends and members of the community came together and raised $3,000 to help.

“Both of these clubs are very important to their members, the community and veterans,” said Legion Commander Ronnie Pettis. “We want to thank everyone who helped and participated in any way. During these hard times it was awesome to see everyone working together for a good cause.”

Presenting the check from the Legion is Pettis and Adjutant Terry Pettis. Receiving the check is VFW Commander Tom Stephens and Quarter Master Thor Zamjahn.
