Danny Little, 72, of Fort Walton Beach passed away February 10, 2021. He died at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center of recent cancer diagnosis. Danny was born in Andalusia, Alabama on September 22, 1948 to Duncan and Lurlie Rae Little. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy; his sister, Renee (Don) Gardner; sisters in law, Virginia Little and Ellen Little; mother in law, Helen King; brothers in law, Bill (Cathy) King and Frank (Jan) King and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Little; his parents and brothers, Cullen and Jimmy Little.
Danny graduated from Andalusia High School and signed a baseball scholarship at Auburn University because of his wicked fastball and vicious curveball. In 1970, he married Kathy King, his high school sweetheart. After graduating from Auburn, he moved to Florida where he coached and taught at various Okaloosa County Schools: Ruckel, Pryor, Fort Walton Beach High School and finished at Ocean City Elementary, best known as “Coach Little”. After retirement, he worked at Edwin Watts Golf shop.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Shalimar United Methodist Church, 1 Old Ferry Road, Shalimar, FL. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Brian D. Little Memorial Scholarship.
