The “First Annual Redneck Christmas Parade” was held Friday, Dec. 18. The parade began near Prestwood Bridge and traveled about 3 to 4 miles. Once over the bridge, the parade stopped and a fireworks display was enjoyed by parade participants as well as the spectators enjoying the colorful holiday event. Among the organizers was Johnny Harper, the “unofficial mayor of Prestwood Bridge.” Along with providing a fun night, the parade participants also collected non-perishable food items.
