Emerge Nutrition is holding its grand opening Friday morning from 11:30 a.m., to 12:30 p.m., in Opp.

Owners Bree Brandom and TJ Brandom opened Emerge earlier this year.

Emerge Nutrition is a one-stop-shop for health and nutrition enthusiasts. They serve healthy beverages as well as health training, according to Brandom.

“We are a healthy little community, so we serve meal replacement shakes, energy teas, and offer 1-on-1 coaching. We have an upbeat atmosphere with a healthy cheers feel,” Brandom said.

The 1-on-1 coaching is personalized to fit each person, said Brandom. Brandom encourages those interested in training to call and set up a meeting time.

“Me and my husband are both health coaches, so people just inquire about what they want to do with their lifestyle, weight management, weight gain or weight loss programs and we usually meet after hours to go over what their individual needs are,” Brandom said.

The business has faced few challenges due to COVID-19 since opening in February, said Brandom.

“We opened February 17 and It’s actually been really good. We’re continuing to grow,” Brandom said. “I don’t know if corona has affected us very much. People are still coming in to get their healthy nutrition.”

Once Brandom realized she was not content with her job, she was inspired to open her own business.

“I was in a job that I wasn’t really happy with,” Brandom said. “So, I started health coaching part-time in Enterprise at another nutrition club. I decided this is something new I could bring to my community. I was already traveling from Opp to Enterprise every day, so I brought it to the community.”

Emerge will be open for business as usual during the grand opening. “You can still come in and get healthy shakes and energy tees, but we will also have a couple of giveaways, a fruit tray, and a few other things to try too,” Brandom said.
