APD, IRT at 8th Avenue scene; avoid area

The Andalusia Police Department and the Covington County Incident Response Team are currently at a scene on Eighth Avenue where a suspect has barricaded himself.
The APD call began as a response to a domestic problem. When officers arrived, the suspect was barricaded.
Chief Paul Hudson has asked that people avoid the area, to allow officers to work more safely.
