Circuit Judge Lex Short has suspended the Child First Program temporarily in the wake of COVID-19.
The program was started in 2018 as a requirement for divorcing parents and created by Lesa Rathel and Chris Jackson.
The classes are three-hour classes taught twice a month.
Those attempting to get a divorce in Covington County and have a child under 16 are required to take the class in order to finalize the divorce.
The class has a focus on how the children feel and how to get the focus off the parents and on the children.
