Competition Team members from Andalusia Isshinryu Karate competed in the Battle of Murder Creek Martial Arts Tournament in Brewton on February 22.

It was hosted by Innerfit Martial Arts of Brewton, and was sanctioned by the Alabama Karate Circuit. “Our congratulations to Rachel White and Lisa Cunningham of Innerfit Martial Arts on a successful tournament,” Mark Rudd said.

Andalusia’s team represented well, including 18 first-place finishes.  Individual results as follows:

• Braydon Walker – purple belt 1^st place weapons, 1^st place kata, 1^st place fighting
• Brianna Walker – blue belt 1^st place weapons, 1^st place kata, 1^st place fighting
• Johnathan Rudd – purple belt 1^st place weapons, 1^st place kata, 1^st place fighting
• Bryson Meeks – yellow belt 1^st place weapons, 1^st place kata, 1^st place fighting
• Samuel Ray – orange belt 1^st place kata, 1^st place fighting
• Nicholas Brunson – yellow belt 1^st place kata, 3^rd place fighting
• Nathan Rooker – brown belt 1^st place weapons, 2^nd place kata, 2^nd place fighting
• Grant Wardle – yellow belt 1^st place kata, 3^rd place fighting
• Jaxson Newton – yellow belt 2^nd place kata, 1^st place fighting
