Blue Lake Camp officials have a vision to make a way for each camper that comes to the camp to do so for free.

“The new program – Each One, Reach One,” Blue Lake Executive Director Steve Lewandowski

said. “The idea is to pair church groups with children for scholarships.

Lewandowksi said that a lot of children can’t afford camp, but the scholarships help offset the costs.

Groups who sponsor a camper will be paired with the child and will be asked to pray for the child before and during camp and campers who receive the scholarship will be asked to interact with the sponsor by going to church on a Sunday to talk, etc.

“We would like to get 1,000 scholarships,” he said. “We would like to get to this number within three years. We want as many kids as possible to be able to come to camp. It’s so important for them to be able to connect with God.”

The cost is $335 for a week of summer camp.
