The Andalusia Police Department has identified the driver in a Monday night accident in which a pedestrian died.

Lillian Ann Shakespeare, 56, of Andalusia, was the driver of the 2004 Cadillac Escalade that struck a pedestrian on Stanley Avenue Monday night. The accident occurred between Guardian Angel and Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

The victim, Laura Marie Bell, 42, died at the scene.

ALEA is assisting the APD in the investigation, which is continuing. No charges have been filed.
