The Red Level Tigers (0-1) have high expectations as they ready to enter region play on Friday against the McKenzie Tigers (0-1) in Red Level.
Red Level put up a strong fight against the Class 2A Zion Chapel Rebels in the opening week of the season.
The Rebels were able to hold off the Tigers for 20-13 win.
McKenzie also enters the game looking for their first win of the season.
Houston Academy took on McKenzie in week one of the season.
Houston Academy held off McKenzie for a 28-21 victory.
McKenzie holds a 33-32-1 record over the Red Level Tigers.
Red Level won last year’s contest 12-6.
The win for Red Level broke a nine year win streak for McKenzie.
This is the first Class 1A, Region 2 game of the season for both teams.
Red Level finished in fifth place in Region 2 last year.
Kenny Skipper is in his third season as head coach of the Red Level Tigers.
McKenzie finished in eighth place in Region 2 last year.
Tony Norris is in his fifth season as head coach of the McKenzie Tigers.
Kickoff between Red Level and McKenzie is set for 7 p.m., in Red Level.
