The Florala Wildcats (1-0) got the season off to a strong start with a 36-34 win over St. Michael’s on Thursday night in Fairhope.

Florala and St. Michael’s battled back-and-forth all night before the Wildcats were able to inch away with a 36-34 win.

In the first half, the Wildcats had the passing game and the running game working strong.

New quarterback Rashaad Coleman displayed his skills as he tossed a pair of touchdowns in the opening half.

Senior running back Logan West showed why he is focal point of the Wildcats’ offense as he spring in for two touchdowns in the first half.
