The Red Level Tigers are looking to get the season started on the right foot as they travel to take on the Zion Chapel Rebels.
Red Level returns several key starters from a year ago, including starting quarterback Parker Spears.
The Tigers are 1-2 all time against the Rebels.
Last year’s contest came down to the wire, but it was Zion Chapel who came away with a 40-33 win.
Red Level beat Zion Chapel 57-44 in 2010 and lost 35-29 in 2011.
“These kids have been working their tails off to get ready for the season,” Red Level head coach Kenny Skipper said. “We don’t have a whole lot of big kids, but we are going to be physical and we are going to run to the football. I think one thing you are going to see from us is we are going to hustle and get after their tail.”
Skipper said he hopes to see a good Red Level crowd come over for the game.
“These guys have been busting their tails,” Skipper said. “We want to get as much community support as we can. Red Level has always been good about that. These guys have really been working their butts off. I know we play on the road, but I hope that we can have a big crowd over in Zion Chapel.”
